Guidelines for Voting and Nominating Books
If you see a book already listed and wish to support it, enter the title of the book as listed in the 'subject' field of your email. This is not the main body where you usually type your messages it is the field that shows the subject of an email when you receive it before it is opened. Then send the email to votes@thebookawards.com .
If the book you want to vote for isn't already listed , do the same as above but send the email to nominate@thebookawards.com.
Each person has one vote .
Each month the votes for books that have not previously won are downloaded and sorted by title and by category. A check is run to remove multiple entries from the same email address. This ensures that only valid votes are counted . Nominations also count as votes so it is not necessary to vote for a book you have nominated and to do so will result in the vote being excluded as a duplicate.
It is important to read the instructions and ensure votes are cast properly otherwise they may not count at all.The system will simply not see votes with no name in the 'Subject Field' and will filter out multiple votes from the same person (other than the author's two votes).
